Adelie Penguins Meet a MLWGS Dragon

During her tenure as an Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow with the National Science Foundation’s Division of Polar Programs, Lynn Foshee Reed traveled to Antarctica to learn more about scientific research taking place there. On this trip, she visited Cape Royds on Ross Island where she met Dr. David Ainley and Jean Pennycook who have been studying a colony of Adelie penguins for many years. The penguins were fascinated by the MLWGS mascot! This series of photos was taken in December 2012.
